Corner shelves are a great addition to many closets, pantries, offices and anywhere else that needs to make the most of the space. They are built by creating an “L” shape using two fixed shelves that butt together in the corner. The entire unit shares three partitions: One on each of the sides, and one that is shared on the corner. The shelves are typically attached to each other using locking cams (VB’s).

In the elevation view, add a to-the-floor mounted component so that its side partition touches component and position it with the partition touching the wall where the two Design Zones overlap. This is your becomes the the dominant corner or component.
Add Next, add fixed shelves into the component , like in the image to the left. - This feature will not work unless you have they are fixed shelves. You can add ! They can be added as a multi-shelf group or add them individually, it will work either way.

Using the green arrowarrows, navigate to the Design Zone on the side adjacent wall. Add another component against the existing component in the adjacent Design Zone (the one on the next wall over). It will revert to a bridging component, as previously discussed. You can also use a Notice the bridging component that already exists. This will be your the non-dominant corner componentcomponent.

If there is not a bridging component, add one manually <LINK>. |
Once added, right Right click on the bridging (non-dominant) component with the right mouse button and select ‘Join Corner’ (see left). This will automatically replicate the fixed shelf orientation on the original (dominant) component to match both sides up. This will create creates a corner component with connected shelves that matches original component that you created, and will be visible in the adjacent view, as soon to the right.
If you move the individual shelves on the non-dominant component or use .

If Join Corner is not working, check to ensure both components are the same height, and that the dominant component is a to-the-floor component; A off-the-floor component behaves differently, as explained below. |
If the user moves the individual shelves in the bridging component, or uses the + and – to add or deduct adjust the number of shelves in if using a multi-shelf group, you will notice that the same change changes will automatically be done apply to the dominant side as wellcomponent. They are now synced up.
However, because this corner GIF
The corner shelf unit is still made up of two separate components, you so users can adjust the widths or depths of the dominant (right) or non-component (left) sides as you would with standard components.

A wall mounted unit may component does not automatically join the fixed shelves when prompted to join the corner. If this is what is experiencedJoin Corner. To force a corner, simply grab and drag the “bottom” of the bridging component down to meet the bottom of the dominant component’s partition, as shown on the left. Then right click and select ‘Join Corner’. If the partitions on the non-dominant and dominant components are the same length, you should not have any issues.
The image on the left show what a corner shelf would look like in the plan view. Below shows what a finished corner unit will look like in 3D.
Note that there the corner unit should be successful.

Alternatively, the bridging component par length can be changed to match the dominant component using the Height field in Component Properties. <LINK> |
There are minimum and maximums for corner shelving units based on the weight rating for the shelving. This will is to be considered on for both the dominant and non-dominant side.
For instance, if your location’s the maximum is 30” x 30” at the user’s location, the dominant component can be 30” wide, but the non-dominant must be less than 30” when adding the width + the depth of the dominant wall component.

In this example, that means that if both sides are 14” deep, the non-dominant can be a maximum of 16” wide (16+14=30”). See the image on the right for a visual representation.

The fields mentioned below are the ones a user is likely to encounter most, as not all fields need editingAs all components have the same property options, the same options will apply to corner shelves, except that either side is controlled independently.
