There are floor and ceiling obstructions in the pull-down menu, but they don’t behave the same way as other obstructions. There may be options floor vents, sprinklers, skylights, ceiling fan or lights, attic access, etc.

They are all added in the Plan view. Start by selecting one of the obstructions and rather than placing them on a section of a wall, place it inside the room within the walls.

These obstructions don’t have offsets to help place them within the walls. To help properly place these obstructions, you can use the Dimension Line tool from the ribbon toolbar.

These obstructions all work the same way; They will come in at standard sizes, but the dimensions can be changed in the Properties after it has been added. This provides the option to change the length, width and thickness.

Users can change the object’s rotation if needed, and if the box next to Label is checked it will show a title (ie. Floor Vent) by the obstruction in the Plan view.
