Backing can be applied to your components to cover damaged, ugly or unfinished walls, or just to make your the system look more built-in.

To apply backing, go navigate to Backing Panelin Properties [Component Properties]. Check the box WHERE to turn it on and then adjust the finish. You can either apply it to the single component, the wall, or the whole room. .

Backing will show up as very light hatch lines in the elevation view, as seen below.

WHAT IS THE ORDER OF THESE?
This is where users can adjust the Finish and Style.

The Auto Depth feature will automatically bump the system out your system to maintain the same inside depth as originally selected. You can see, in the images left and right, how it has adjusted the depth of the right hanging section and drawer bank. Otherwise, adding backing will take away internal depth, which is not desirable.

The program may automatically double par when changing depths. You can turn this , including when adding backing with the Auto Depth feature. This can be turned off by unchecking the box next to Auto Partitionsin the ELEV ribbon toolbar.

You Backing can also select be specified to only apply backing above a set of drawers, if that is what is preferred, by checking the box beside the Start Above Drawers’ option. This means it will not run backing behind your drawers, only above.

 All changes made here can be applied either to the single component, selected components, the wall, or the whole room using the Apply properties to.. feature.

  

The second way to quickly add, remove or adjust the backing is to go into ‘Materials’ in the ribbon toolbar, and apply your from the Materials tab. Select the finish and style settings under the Backing’ option heading. This will change the finish in apply to the entire room. You can select ‘Auto’ to apply the main material or select a different finish. This method will also adjust the depth of your components If adding using this method, components will also auto-adjust the depth to accommodate.
