The following tips are general editing options that will be consistent for editing most of the parts found in the ELV ribbon toolbar.

After adding a part, the part tool will remain on until the user right clicks to turn the function off.

If parts have multiple options or sizes available, scroll while the tool is turned on to view the options before placing.

Parts can be moved within the same component or into a different component. This works for most parts. If parts have specific rules, they will be outlined on the part page.
Right click > Move.
By double clicking on it and holding the cursor down to “drag” it to a new location.

DELETE PARTS
Delete a single part by right clicking and selecting Delete.
Multiple parts can be deleted at once by selecting Shift and clicking on multiple parts to select and right click to delete or hit Delete on the keyboard. To deselect, click elsewhere on the elevation view or hit Esc on the keyboard.

CLONE PARTS
Cloning a part will make an exact copy that can then be pasted into the same, or another, component. It makes it easy to recreate a part that may have been edited so that extra time isn’t spent editing them individually. It also makes it quick and easy to turn a part back “on”, versus going back up to the Parts menu in the ribbon toolbar. Most parts can be cloned, but there are some that won’t offer this feature and the feature will be greyed out.
To clone a part, right click on it and select Clone Part. Left click to insert the cloned part where desired. The feature will allow the user to continue placing that same part until right clicking to turn it off.
