ADD TV

Users can add a TV to enhance your a media center, office or any other space to look more realistic. You will see ‘TV/MediaThis is done by selecting Add TV under the Toolssection of the Elevation ribbon toolbar.

These have no cost associated, and they are purely for aesthetics.

 

Just as you would with a board, Left click and drag to your the desired size. If you right click, you can copy the television, or choose from basic size ratios (standard or widescreen).You can move To resize, click and drag the nodes. Move the TV by clicking on it and dragging it to your and holding to move to a desired location.

 

 

To change that will be shown on the TV, adjust the size ratio, and change the offsets, right click and go into the ‘Media Properties’. Right now, there are limited selections, but more may be added later.

 

Right click to ‘Delete’ the media, if desired.

Adding Room Objects

The right click menu will provide options to access the properties menu, copy or Delete the media, if desired. There is also the option to change the aspect ratio. Snap to Surface will directly place the TV on the next closest surface below, whether that be a component or the floor.

The options in Properties [Media] include the back offset (can be changed in placing over backing, etc), another option to change the aspect ratio, and the ability to change that is shown on the TV.

Stand will add a stand to the TV so that it can be “placed” on top of a component versus appearing to be wall mounted.

ROOM OBJECTS

Users can add 3D room objects to your designs to help enhance the 3D views for your customerdesigns if desired. There are purely for aesthetic reasons and will not be recognized when you are designing. designing around them - They may also no be true to scale, so be cautious when using them in the space.

To add a 3D room object, select any of the options (right) under in the Room Object’ pulldown (left) while in the PLAN view.  pulldown, located in the Plan ribbon toolbar.

Left click to place the object.

To move the object, single click and hold. To delete it, right click add and select Delete’.

In the Part Properties, users can rotate the room object if desired. This is measured in degrees. Check objects in the 3D view to ensure it’s facing the correct way.

As these room objects will not show on the elevation view, so use caution. Another option is to use the generic obstruction to match the dimensions of, for example, a fridge or washing machine. This will at least allow you to recognize it and build your components around it. You can also change the Design Zone offset to ensure you do not accidently build into it (see left)
