Cleats Cleat hooks are a piece of our ¾” board material with hooks mounted on a wall. There are several options for double hooks, coat hooks, tie hooks, belt hooks, and broom holders.hooks that can be used in any space of the home.

Select one of the hooks from the Cleat’ option and bring into component Cleat drop down in the ribbon toolbar. Left click to place a single hook.

 

 

 

Before placing the part, scroll the mouse wheel (or use the up/down keys on the keyboard) to change the width of the cleat and number of hooks; The cleat will automatically expand to accommodate. Left click to place on an empty wall at your , or inside of a component, at the desired height and location.

There are three different areas of a cleat hook that you can editbe edited, and the options will vary depending on what you are the cursor is hovering over. You There will also get be a different right-click menu with for each. The images below demonstrate what the options will look like when hovering over them:

Hook Board

HOOK BOARD:The material that holds the hooks. Noted by adjustability nodes on outside of part.

Pitch

PITCH:The invisible line that designates where the hooks will be placed on your hook board. Noted by the bright yellow highlighting.

Hook

HOOK:The physical hook mounted to the board. Noted by the dashed lines forming a square around the part (hook).

Hook Board

HOOK BOARD

The cleat can be resized by clicking on one of the corners (nodes for adjusting will appear) and dragging it to your the desired size (right). Double click and hold to manually reposition or move the cleat.

 

 

When you right click GIF - show above and below

Users can also change the location and size of the cleat by double clicking on the dimensions around the cleat board. When the dimension turns red, double click to type in a new number and press Enter on the keyboard.

When right clicking on the hook board (when you see adjustability nodes), you will see , there will be the following options (see left).

 

 

If you delete :

Deleting the cleat (right click>delete) it will remove the entire cleat - Pitch, pitch and hooks and all. You Users can also add more pitches (right click>add pitch) if you’d prefer wanting multiple rows of hooks, or you can paste a pitch that has been copied (more information on pitch see below). If you were to select ‘Delete All’ it will delete your entire Design Zone. ‘ Evenly Space Pitch’Pitch will move the location of your the pitch(es) so it fits evenly within the height vertical space of the hook board (right).

 

The part properties on a hook board will allow you to change the cleat material .

The Hook Board Properties [Part] is where users can:

  • Change the Cleat Material (it defaults to

  • the main material)

  • Manually type in a new

  • Width and Height

  • Adjust the location of the cleat on the wall (Distance from Wall or Floor)

  • Change the Offset from Wallif placing the cleat away from the wall, if mounting it on a back panel or obstruction for example.

  • Add or remove the dimensions around the cleat (Display Bot/All Dims). These may get in the way when designing, but

  • are helpful for placement and installation.

 Pitch

PITCH

You can Users only move the location of the pitch, or your (the line of hooks, ) on the hook board if there is enough room, so you it may need to resize your hook board (see previous topic)be resized if too small. To move your s pitch, hover over it until it turns yellow (right), then double click. Move your the curser to the desired location and click once to place.

If you delete :

Deleting the pitch (right click>delete) it will remove the pitch and all of the hooks as well. If you there is only have one pitch, it will delete the entire cleat at onceboard.

 

 


You can manually add individual hooks by hovering over the pitch (right click>add hook) Individual hooks can be added selecting Add Hook and left clicking to place that the selected hook on the pitch. This will only work if you have there is room to add additional hooks. To evenly space your hooks along the pitch (see image on the right), select Evenly Space Hook.
You
Users can also Copy Pitch and paste it (right click on hook board>paste pitch) if you have there is enough height on your the hook board. This is a quick and easy way to replicate a pitch layout. Keep in mind that you users may need to move the hooks to avoid them stacking to close to each other. so whatever is to be stored there has the appropriate space.

The pitch part properties are very simple and will offer another method for positioning your a pitch on a hook board (although double clicking to move is quicker and easier).

 

HOOKS

Hooks You can move the location of the hooks can be moved around on a pitch if there is enough room, so you . Users may need to resize your the hook board (width) to accommodate. Double click and hold to move your hooks.

In the hook part properties, you Properties [Part] users can edit the hook style to change what type the Type of hook you’ve added, the finish Finish of the hook(s), and adjust the horizontal positioning if you prefer preferred (an alternative to double click to move).
