As with Classic, users can add Paxton components either by using templates, or by creating them from scratch. The recommended method is to use Design Templates or Component Templates to ensure that the vertical lines and general aesthetics of the collection is maintained(see attached document at bottom of page for more info).

DESIGN TEMPLATES

The best way to start a Paxton design is by using Design Templates, which are thoughtfully selected templates that consist of multiple components. These are considered the “core” of the design.

Right click inside an empty design zone and select Add Design Template. This may take a moment to load.
To view different design template options, scroll the mouse wheel (or use the up/down keyboard keys) before let clicking to place.

...

All Paxton templates come in with set heights and widths, so they may be shorter/taller than the set design zone height. Templates may also be wider/shorter than the design zone width, in which case users will receive a warning X. Adjust individual components to fit as needed.

COMPONENT TEMPLATES

In addition to using design templates, users can design with individual component templates from the Template Library in the upper left section of the Elv ribbon toolbar.

...

Hover over the specific template for more information on what parts that template may contain. The template library shows Paxton components specific to the type of space chosen in the set-up wizard (walk in, wine bar, etc.). Change the template library and expand the options.

Info

Take note of the fixed depths of the templates before adding (in red for individuals or in the black font for design templates).

Select a desired template. While the template tool is enabled, users can use the mouse wheel or arrow keys to scroll through the various options. Left click to place. The tool remains on, so users can add multiple templates before right clicking to turn the tool off.

...

Users can adjust or replace components (added by a design template, component template, or from scratch) by selecting a component template and hovering over to replace existing comps.

...

ADD & EDIT PARTS

To change what parts are in a component, users can select from the pull-down options in the Properties [Part] menu, or switch to another component template.

...

If switching certain parts in the Properties [Part] menu, such as Everstyle pull-outs, users can only select another Type of part that is the same height as the original part.

STYLE FILTER

The style filter is found next to component Templates, and if checked(enabled), will provide template options based on existing components or design templates. The templates that are available when the style filter is turned on will naturally match the depths and strong horizontal lines already existing in the design template.
