Prior to site-visits, make sure you have: 

...

  • Check that the rail has not deformed or pulled away from the mounting surface / wall. 

  • Check that the Suspension Bracket attachment screws are tight and not stripped (SMM & DSM: Page 4, Step 1). 

  • Check that the suspension brackets are tight both up/down and in/out 

  • Check that the partition is properly supported by the floor (using shims, par feet, etc.)

  • Partition mounting plate attachment to Partition 

    • Remove the Mechanism Cover to perform the following checks. 

    • Check that there are no open holes on the mounting plate (all attachment screws present). 

    • Check that all mounting plate attachment screws are tight and not stripped (SMM & DSM: Page 5, Step 3). 

    • Partition mounting plate should be tight to the partition (no gap) 

  • Inspect top stretcher attachment 

    • Secure to the wall and not pulling away from the wall 

  • Check that the cabinet has been leveled and plumbed. (Page 20SMM: Page 7, Step 7 | DSM: Page 8, Step 17

Top Shelf 

  • Check that the cams are locked and the rafix bolts have not pulled out of the partition (SMM: Page 6, Step 2 | DSM: Page 7, Step 2). 

  • Be sure the 3 angle brackets have been properly installed on the top of the top shelf into as many studs as possible (Page 21SMM: Page 28, Step 8 | DSM: Page 19, Step 7). 

  • Ensure the anti-tip safety label has been affixed to the top shelf.

  • Check that the bottom stretcher is tight against the wall or baseboard (SMM: Page 6, Step 3 | DSM: Page 7, Step 3). 

  • Check that the bottom stretcher is attached to the partition using angle brackets (SMM: Page 6, Step 3 | DSM: Page 7, Step 3). 

  • Be sure that the bottom stretcher is attached to as many studs as possible using screws specified in the Installation Instructions (SMM: Page 8, Step 8 | DSM: Page 9, Step 8) & (Page 20SMM: Page 27, Step 6 | DSM: Page 18, Step 35).

  • Check that the cams on the headboard have been locked and the rafix bolts have not pulled out of the partition (SMM: Page 7, Steps 5 & 6 | DSM: Page 8, Steps 5 & 6). Do not use Press-In Cams.

  • Check that the toe kick is installed properly (attached to the partitions using angle brackets) (Page 7SMM: Page 8, Step 9 | DSM: Page 23, Step 76).

Bed Frame Assembly 

  • Check that there are no open holes and/or all required attachment points are properly secured (all attachment screws present). 

  • Check that all bed frame attachment screws are tight and not stripped (Page 10SMM: Page 12, Step 2 | DSM: Page 11, Step 6a7). – use Allen wrench or screwdriver, not impact driver 

  • Bed frame should be tight to the bed panels and squared to ensure the gap is equal to both partitions. 

  • If the configuration has unsupported seams, check that mending plates have been used for support (Pages 12SMM: Pages 14-25 | DSM: Pages 14-15). 

  • Check that the Steel Leg Spacer attachment screw is tight and not stripped (SMM: Page 1627, Step 24 | DSM: Pages 17 & 18). 

  • Check that the Metal Washer has been used on the inside of the bed frame (SMM: Page 1731, Step 46 | DSM: Pages 17 & 18). 

  • Check that the Plastic Washer is positioned between the Frame Mechanism and the Leg (SMM: Page 1728, Step 511 | DSM: Pages 26 & 27). 

  • Check that the magnets are positioned correctly and are tight, but not stripped (Page 19Page 30, Step 5 | Page 23, Step 5).

Bed Frame Attachment to the Cabinet 

  • Check that the Sleeve Bearings have been used on the Frame Dowel and is properly seated in the U-Channel (SMM: Page 26, Step 1 | DSM: Page 16, Step 1). Be cautious not to crack sleeve bearings; if cracked, do not use (get a new one) 

  • Check that the piston has been installed in the correct orientation (Page 17&18SMM: Page 29, Steps 1 & 2 | DSM: Page 21 & 22, Steps 1 & 2). – Ensure the correct size pistons have been used for the mattress (find chart) 

  • Check that the piston mounts are properly seated on the welded pins (Page 17&18SMM: Page 29, Steps 1 & 2 | DSM: Page 21 & 22, Steps 1 & 2). 

  • Check that the Top Steel Stretcher Screws are tight and not stripped (Page 18SMM: Page 30, Step 4 | DSM: Page 23, Step 34). 

  • Check that the Magnets are properly contacting the Top Steel Stretcher when closing the bed (Page 19SMM: Page 29, Step 2 | DSM: Page 22, Step 52). 

  • When opening and closing bed make sure motion is not restricted

  • Be sure both feet on each leg are touching the floor. If not, adjust the Cam Washer accordingly (Page 1931, Step 6 | Page 25, Step 58). 

  • Check all attachment screws for the Leg Mechanism are tight and not stripped (Page 19Page 31, Step 6 | Page 25, Step 58)

  • Ensure the pinch hazard safety label has been affixed to the right or left leg.

  • Check that the top stretcher is tight against the wall (Page 20Page 8, Step 11 | Page 9, Step 411). 

  • Check that the top stretcher is tight to the top shelf and is tight and square to both partitions (Page 2027, Step 7 | Page 19, Step 46). 

  • Check that the top stretcher is attached to as many studs as possible using screws specified in the Installation Instructions (Page 20Page 27, Step 7 | Page 19, Step 46).

  • Re-install Top Steel Stretcher (if removed). 

  • Double check safety labels are in their correct places.

  • Ensure all safety check photos have been taken.
