Below, users will find pre- and post-session activities from the PARTICIPANT'S GUIDE as part of the instructor-led ClosetCADPro virtual training sessions.

Users can also find recorded versions of each day on CC360 in the ClosetCADPro Channel or the New Designer Training Channel. (User may need to be logged into CC360 first to access)

If you are a manager and would like access to the FACILITATOR’S GUIDE to use alongside the instructor-led sessions or to use for training at your location, please e-mail Katie Black (kblack@calclosets.com).


PRE-SESSION 

Hello ClosetCADPro training attendees! We are looking forward to working with you and helping you to learn this fantastic sales tool. So that we can make the most of the time we have together, please read the following and complete all required steps prior to the “CAD Software Set-Up” live session or before the actual live CAD training if not attending the set-up call. 

  • If you are not registered for the CAD Software Set-Up session prior to live CAD training, it is strongly recommended that you do so. Contact your manager about registering. 

MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE ENTIRE CAD TRAINING SESSION:    

  • Personal computer with power cord (PC running Windows only, no Macs)  

  • Mouse  

  • Zoom installed and tested on computer  

  • Completion of the required pre-work for the session  

  • IF ATTENDING THE SOFTWARE SET UP CALL:  

    • Have your computer and a working CAD key - We will download/install CAD together.  

  • IF NOT ATTENDING THE SOFTWARE SET UP CALL:   

    • Ensure that you have a working CAD key and ClosetCADPro installed on your computer. This must be tested PRIOR to the start of the live 4-day session. Troubleshoot with your manager as needed. 


Attendees who do not have the required items and a working version of ClosetCADPro will NOT be able to participate in the sessions.  We cannot troubleshoot technical issues at the start of the trainings at the expense of those who are fully prepared.

Attendees MUST COMPLETE the following after ClosetCADPro is installed and prior to Day 1 of the live facilitator-led training. This may take 2-3 hours to complete, so plan accordingly.

  • Access the ClosetCADPro User Manual. Save the page as a bookmark in your browser for easy access.

  • Read, practice and/or complete the following in the ClosetCADPro User Manual. (allow approx. 2-2.5 hours to complete this list).

  • REVIEW: Work with your manager to cover file management protocol at your location (time varies).

  • VIDEO: Watch how to improve the 3D graphics in CAD and implement in your own program (allow approx. 5 minutes).

Note: There will be a 30-minute break each day of training. The break is typically around 11:15am PST (give or take) so please plan meals accordingly. Be aware that this may change based on the pace of the session.

POST-SESSION DAY 1

Please complete the items listed below following Day 1 of the live session. This is to be completed prior to Day 2. Consult a manager if you have any concerns or questions.

POST-SESSION DAY 2

Please complete the items listed below following Day 2 of the live session. These are to be completed prior to Day 3. Consult a manager if you have any concerns or questions.

POST-SESSION DAY 3

Please complete the items listed below following Day 3 of the live session. These are to be completed prior to Day 4. Consult a manager if you have any concerns or questions.

POST-SESSION DAY 4

Please complete the items listed below following Day 2 of the live session. These are to be completed after Day 4. Consult a manager if you have any concerns or questions.

 
After the initial training, make sure that you continue to get practice in the program. There are many ways to incorporate CAD into the remaining weeks of new designer training and beyond. Talk to your local trainer or manager for additional curriculum, exercises and activities, and any other suggestions for continued learning (such as lighting, collections, more advanced designs, etc).
