The Generic obstruction can be used to create any obstruction that doesn’t have an existing option in the pulldown. For instance, to draw alarm boxes, electrical panels, soffits, ductwork or pipes (note that they will always be square).
First, enter the horizontal and vertical dimensions to match the object based on the measurements from the consultation. For example, the object may be an alarm box that is 12” wide, 15” high, and 3” deep (how far does it protrude from the wall).
It is highly suggested that the user enter a Text Note <LINK> with a generic obstruction so there is clarity for the designer, client and installer.
