It is important to know how to move, copy and delete components. The following manipulations can be found in the right click menu while in the Elevation view.
DELETE (Right Click > Delete OR Delete All)
Used to delete specific components in a design, or all the components within a design zone.
DELETE: Delete one component at a time.
DELETE ALL: Delete all parts and components from an entire a design zoneszone.
MOVE / PUSH (Right Click > Move)
Users can adjust change the position of a component after initially placing it, but it . A component can only move to an empty or available space in a design zone.

If users accidentally overlap an existing component, a red warning X appears and either component needs to be adjusted. |
MOVE: Moves a single component to any available space in the current design zone. A component can also be moved by double clicking on it. Be aware that parts may get in the way, which would result in moving the part instead.
PUSH LEFT or PUSH RIGHT:“Pushes” a component as far left or right as it can go without before encountering another component, wall or obstacle. If there are multiple components that are already together, it will move them all if selecting and pushing from the furthest component.

When moving a component, regardless of the method, you can manually place the component where desired, or manually type in the offsets after left clicking to place (how far away from the wall you would like the component to sit). |
CENTER (Right Click > Center)
Adjust the position of a component so that it is 
Components can be centered either on the wall, or between existing components or obstacles. A single component, or a group of components, will always center within the available space.
CENTER: Centers a single component in the space that is available. If there are multiple components, it will separate the selected component and move it into the available space. If this happens, components can be moved back together by using Move.
CENTER ALL: Centers multiple components in the available space.
COPY / PASTE (Right Click > Copy OR Dynamic Copy OR Paste)
The Copy feature allows the user to make an exact copy of a component which can be pasted into the design zone. This makes an exact copy of the original component - Meaning it may be missing partitions if it was sharing with other components.
Right click on the component and select Copy, then right click on an empty section of the design zone and rick click to select Paste.

If the copied component has both partitions and Auto Partitions is enabled, a the pasted component will automatically share a partition with an existing component if the curser is in the bottom half of the pasted component copy while placing. If a double par is needed, move the curser towards the top of the component before left clicking to place and it will add placing, and a second partition rather than will be added instead of sharing one.

Since this feature will copy the component exactly, you may need to adjust remove or add partitions. You will get a warning on the component if you are missing any partitions. You can do this Add partitions in the Properties [Comp] dialogue box, under the Construction heading. |
DYNAMIC COPY:The Dynamic Copy feature allows the user to copy AND paste a duplicate component with just one click. It is especially helpful when quickly placing a copy within the same design zone as the original. This is a “smart” way to Copy versus the feature mentioned above.
Using this method, the copied component will automatically have add any missing partitions. It will share partitions if it is pasted directly next to another component, or it will add a partition if it is pulled away from the original component.
Before left clicking to place a dynamic copy, note the location of the cursor. If the curser is towards the middle of the pasted component, it will share partitions. If the curser is towards the top or bottom it will double par.

The copied component can be placed onto other Design Zonesdesign zones/walls using the Paste feature. It will always remember the last Copy OR Dynamic Copy madecopy OR dynamic copy. |
Dynamic Copy copy can also be used to quickly replace an existing component. The copy will override and replace any existing parts. It is an easy way to switch components.
ARRAY (Right Click > Array)
The Array tool is used to quickly copy a component across the design zone in two different ways. Its functionality changes depending on the location of the curser once the tool is selected.
In the top halfof the component, the array feature will make an exact copy of the selected component, maintaining its original width. Scroll the mouse wheelto add additional copies of the component, all with the same width.

It Array will copy as many that will fit across. This may leave result in a gap at the far end of the design zone if there is not isn’t enough room to fit another whole component. To balance the gap, use the Center All feature, or AutoFitthe last component to fill the gap, as shown in the GIF above.
If the curser is in the bottom half of the component, the Array feature will auto-fit and fill the entire available space within in the design zone, and scrolling the mouse wheel will split the copy into multiple components. These components will be of equal width, filling the entire open space (rounding to the nearest 0.125 of an inch).

If you notice a small gap on the far side, it is because the array wants those nice numbers in 1/8” intervals. You can always Center All and/or Autofit Width as desired. |
