Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must beworn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

  1. Confirm the location of the safe on the elevation.

  • The elevationwill contain an image of a safe.

  • Ensure there is no obstruction in the way of the safe’s location.

    • If there is, contact your manager or the design consultant before moving forward.

  1. Unpack the safe from the box and remove all contents.

  • Ensure you have the power cord and any applicable components (shelf, carpet, etc.)

  1. If Applicable: Confirm if there is a wall outlet in the vicinity of the safe’s location.

  1. Mount the supplied angle brackets under the shelf Place the safe will sit on .

  • Screw the brackets to the partition and the shelf.

  • These will provide extra support for the weight of the safe.

  • For shelves up to 16” in depth, place a bracket in the front and back of each side of the shelf (4 in total)

  • For shelves above 16” in depth, place a bracket in the front, middle, and back of each side of the shelf (6 in total)

Place the safe on the shelf and push it against the wall
  1. the shelf or in the drawer.

  • If Applicable: Plug in the power cord as you push position the safe back.

  • Center the safe on the shelf unless otherwise indicated on the elevation.

Secure
  1. Drill for securement of the safe to the

wall
  1. bottom and back of the component.

  • Locate If the safe is being attached directly to the wall, locate any studs behind the safe. If there are no studs

  • Make a mark through all securement holes on the safe.

  • Remove the safe and drill for all securement points

    Drill at least 2 screws from the bottom of the safe down into the shelf below.

    • If the safe is being attached directly to the wall, drill for and insert toggles. (yay or nay??)

  • The safe is to be secured using two attachment points to the wall.

    • Be careful to not drill through the shelfDrill through the remaining securement points using a 3/16” drill bit.

The Mycube Fire Safe is only secured to the bottom through one securement point. Be sure to lift the carpet and remove the fire cover cap to drill.

  1. Secure the safe

  • Place the safe back in position and secure using the provided screws and washers.

  • If the safe is being attached directly to the wall with toggles, secure with toggle bolts through the applicable holes.

  1. Complete the setup of the safe.

  • Place the carpet along the bottom of the safe’s interior.

  • If applicable: Place the shelf inside the safe.

  • If applicable: Insert batteries into the keypad.

  1. Complete the remainder of the installation.

  2. Complete the final walkthrough with the customer and demonstrate the safe.

  • Provide the customer with the keys and informational paperwork.

  • Explain that any technical issues are best directed through MyCube and their customer service.

  • Optional: If the customer requests assistance with setting the code, walk them through the process. Turn away when the customer inputs their code.

  1. Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.

  2. If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

  3. If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.

  4. If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and deliveringthe final product.

  1. The safe is in the correct location according to the elevation.

  2. The correct amount of support brackets are mounted below the safe’s shelf.The safe is secured to the wall (if applicable) and shelf below.
