3D objects are used to make the a design look more realistic and the to give the customer a better idea of how the finished product will look.
Select ‘3D objects’ Select the 3D Objects tab from the ribbon toolbar. It will open whether you are in your a new ribbon toolbar in plan, elevation, or 3D viewsview.
From the hanging section of the ribbon toolbar select ‘Fill Hanging Poles’. The 3D can either be selected models or random models.
Adding TV Media
You can add a TV to enhance your media center, office or any other space to look more realistic. You will see ‘TV/Media’ under the ‘Tools’ section of the Elevation ribbon toolbar.
Note: These have no cost associated, and they are purely for aesthetics.
Just as you would with a board, click and drag to your desired size. If you right click, you can copy the television, or choose from basic size ratios (standard or widescreen).
You can move the TV by clicking on it and dragging it to your desired location.
To change that will be shown on the TV, adjust the size ratio, and change the offsets, right click and go into the ‘Media Properties’. Right now, there are limited selections, but more may be added later.
Right click to ‘Delete’ the media, if desired.
Adding Room Objects
You can add 3D room objects to your designs to help enhance the 3D views for your customer. There are purely for aesthetic reasons and will not be recognized when you are designing.
To add a 3D room object, select any of the options (right) under the ‘Room Object’ pulldown (left) while in the PLAN view.
Left click to place the object. To move the object, single click and hold. To delete it, right click add select ‘Delete’.
...
NOTE!
As these room objects will not show on the elevation view, so use caution. Another option is to use the generic obstruction to match the dimensions of, for example, a fridge or washing machine. This will at least allow you to recognize it and build your components around it. You can also change the Design Zone offset to ensure you do not accidently build into it (see left).
In the Part Properties, you can rotate the room object if desired. This is measured in degrees. You can check this in the 3D view to ensure it’s facing the correct way.
