There are multiple options under the Shelf & Pole parts pulldown menu. This page will discuss discusses how to add Fixed, Adjustable, Slanted, Glass and Pull-Out shelves individually, although you users can also choose to add them as a multi-shelf group <LINK>. This also works for pull-out (located in the Pull Out drop down<LINK>) and slanted shoe shelving (located in the Shoe Storage drop down<LINK>).
Select the desired shelf style (____ Shelf) from the pull-down menu and hover over a component, positioning the shelf by moving the curser up and down within the component.

The Auto Shelf feature is used to create a combination of fixed and adjustable shelves, spaced evenly within the component. This is used when adding Multimulti-Shelf shelf groups <LINK> as the function is not meant to be used for adding individual shelves. |
Left click to place the shelf. Continue to add as many shelves as desired, right-clicking to turn the function off.

If you turn on Shelf Dimensions under the Display heading in the ribbon toolbar, it will show the vertical spacing between all shelves. This is helpful when adjusting or adding more shelves. It is also beneficial to clients and installers. |
After a shelf has been inserted, it can be moved in one of three ways: By using the + and – icons, by right clicking and selecting Move, or by double clicking, holding, and “dragging” it into place.
Delete a shelf by right clicking and selecting Delete. Single parts or multiples can be deleted by clicking on them so they’re while holding Shift on the keyboard. Selected parts will outlined in red, and either right clicking click to delete or hitting hit the Delete key on the keyboard. To deselect, hit Esc on the keyboard or click elsewhere on the design.
SHELF PROPERTIES
To edit shelves, right click and select Properties [Part]. The fields mentioned below are the ones a user is likely to encounter most, as not all fields need editing. The options may vary slightly depending on the type of shelf.
Properties is where the user can adjust the Style, which will change what type of shelf was added (from an adjustable to a fixed, for instance). There is also the option to change the material and thickness of that shelf in the Finish dropdown.
Additional edits in shelf properties include adding leather wraps or lighting <LINK>, adjusting the drilling<LINK>, and changing the spot height or dimensions on/off. The options may vary slightly depending on the type of shelf.
Users Under Dimensions, users have the option to change shelf depth Depth. An Offset in the front means the shelf will sit further back within the component; an Offset in the back means there will be a gap between the wall and the back of the shelf.
This may be done for aesthetic reasons, or for running cords, etc.
If the shelf is Fixed..
Under Backing, users can turn specific backing panels on or off below that (fixed) shelf.
Back Recess controls how far back the shelf sits if there is full system backing on the component (on means it will split existing backing, off means it will sit in front). Users can also change the panel finish or grain direction here.
A support foot can be added to a bottom fixed shelf if weight is a concern (if holding heavier items, a wine fridge, etc). Support feet may automatically apply when adding certain parts (such as a safe).
Additional edits in shelf properties include adding leather wraps or shoe rails or support feet, adjusting the drilling, and changing the spot height or dimensions on/off.
