The LG Styler is a large accessory that cannot be installed inside a component, but rather be incorporated a part of the design (see Standard Product Guide for full specs and restrictions).

For instance,

  • The unit cannot be designed within a stand-alone component.

  • It can only sit on the floor, not on a shelf.

  • All adjacent partitions must be part of a component and properly supported by fixed shelves or a wall.

  • Doors cannot cover the unit.

  • The front face of the LG Styler needs to be flush with adjacent partitions for door to open unobstructed.

  • Requires an outlet to be a certain distance from it.

  • It also requires clearance on the sides, back and top of the system.

Thankfully, CAD takes several of these into consideration and will give you warnings if the requirements are not met.

Select LG Styler from the Accessories drop down.

When placing the LG Styler into a Design Zone, notice that it has a green box surrounding it. This is an offset that will not allow the user to place the unit too close to a wall or a component, per the requirements of the machine. This will also be true when moving the part.

There is a built-in warning for an outlet as this is required for use. The red arch shows the range for an outlet; This unit must be plugged directly into a 3-prong grounded wall outlet – No extension cords allowed! Once the LG Styler is placed within the required distance, the warning will disappear.

This means that there must be a physical outlet added from the Obstruction menu <LINK> based on measurements taken during the consultation.

The LG Styler moves and deletes like other parts.

LG STYLER PROPERTIES

There are no options to edit the LG Styler, so the Properties [Part] menu will be greyed out.
