Count Tag Entry

This function is performed by the shipping and receiving department. 

Use Count Tag Entry to record the results of the cycle or physical inventory count. To being, you first select the cycle you want to use for count entry. Only cycles that have started their count sequences are available, and you can only select tags open for the selected cycle. 

Follow the path: Xmc>Material Management >Inventory Management >General Operations >Count Tag Entry

To enter count tag results: 

1. Click the Cycle button to find and select the cycle you need

1. Information about the selected cycle displays in the Warehouse, Cycle Period, Year, and other related fields. 
2. Click the Tag button to find and select the specific tag against which you are entering the count results. 
3. You can also use the Navigation toolbar to move through all the available cycles. 
4. Information about the Part, the Bin, and the Unite of Measure displays. 
5. If the part is lot tracked, its number displays within the Serial Number field. 
6. In the Counted Qty field, enter the quantity which was counted. 
7. Select the Returned check box to indicate this quantity was returned to inventory from another source, like the shop floor or a returned shipment. 
8. If you need, click the UOM Worksheet button to select a different unit of measure for the part quantity. Only valid UOMs can be selected and saved to the count tag. 
9. In the Counted By field, enter the initials of the person who counted the part quantity. 
10. Enter the Counted Date and the Counted Time in their respective fields. 
11. In the Note field, enter any additional information you want saved with the count tag. 
12. The Activity grid displays the part quantity changes which occurred during the count cycle. 
13. The Related Tags grid displays any tags generated for the same part. 
14. Continue to update the count tags you need. When you finish, click Save on the Standard toolbar. 

Click on Cycle

Click on Search

Click on OK

NOTE: No parts are currently uploading therefore nothing is appearing under the Search Results Dropdown.

Enter Tag Number or Click on Tag to Search for Number.

Once tag is complete select the Returned Check Box.

NOTE: Typically all the results would appear; however, there currently isn’t any information added in this field. You can go back into a tag anytime up until the tag is posted.
