Extend Partition Heights

Users can adjust partitions to extend up/down past the bottom or top shelf. This is helpful if pulling up partitions underneath an upper cabinet with a valance. This provides a clean look and is helpful when lighting is added. This is ONLY applied to inside partitions - Not the ones on either end!

To change partition heights, right click on the partition and select Properties [Part].  Left click the Height Extensions + button to drop the menu, then left click the Auto-Extend Height check box to turn that property off. This is not necessary when manually adjusting par heights.

Users can extend the top or bottom of a partition by changing values in the edit boxes. However, the most common use will be adding a negative number to Extend Bottom – This is how users would bring a partition up to meet the bottom shelf, in the case of a valance, for example.

To achieve this, first add the valance. Take note of what the bottom shelf offset was set at. Change the value in extend bottom to a negative number that reflects the bottom shelf offset – However, this value is in inches rather than spaces.

Notice how the partition is pulled up if hovering over it (where it turns yellow) or if looking at it in the 3D view. If the offset isn’t correct, users will notice the partition doesn’t line up with the bottom shelf. If this happens, just try again with a smaller or larger number - The program rounds up or down and it may throw the split off a bit.

Only do this to interior partitions, not partitions on the ends (or outside) of the upper components. If wanting to apply this to other partitions, use the Apply properties to.. Select option to be very specific; Otherwise it will apply to ALL partitions.
