Filler is a side treatment, made from our TFL material, that can be used either for aesthetic purposes

...

or to fill in gaps between components and walls (especially with uneven walls). They are typically required when designing with wall-to-wall backing or

...

when a component containing doors

...

, drawers, hampers or other pull-outs is next to a side wall.

Filler and Scribe is

...

typically added automatically, depending on the user’s database. In the Options section of the ribbon toolbar, left click the Filler drop down tab and select Filler, Filler + Scribe. This will

...

adjust the filler material to any space existing between a wall and a component - More of a “global” method.

Users can use the same method to quickly turn all fillers off. Just select None as the option.

Info

Filler has a minimum and a maximum width, and it will not add it to a component if the space is outside of those parameters. This will vary by location

Filler Style dictates if the material is just filler, filler with scribe, or none (removed). Similar to the options found in the ELV Ribbon Toolbar, as mentioned above.

Users can select the Filler and/or Scribe Finish here. It defaults to the main finish.

Width Mode dictates if the filler will “fill” the available space or if it is to be set at a specific width(common if designing in angles, or creating Dead/Blind Corners or Peninsulas).

These property changes can be applied to other, select partitions using the Apply properties to.. function, if desired.

Note

If there is filler between the component and the wall, you cannot auto-fit

...

the component to fill that space – It won’t work, it will recognize the filler as taking up that space

...

.

If moving or resizing the component, autofill filler will automatically adjust to the new available space if it is still within the minimum and maximum.

Note

NOTE: If only doing filler to the wall, without scribe, there will be an additional labor charge as the installer has to cut and contour the filler to the wall manually. The charge will appear in the Parts List under the Filler heading.
