Peninsulas

A peninsula is similar to an island in that it provides additional storage space within the design. The difference is that a peninsula is an extension of the existing components (typically a base cabinet with countertop), rather than a free-standing component with space around it.


Peninsulas are created on an island plane. There are various ways that a peninsula can be built. Some of the more common methods are outlined below.

As peninsulas can be complex designs that rely on proper alignment and many other factors, work with a plan reviewer to ensure it looks good for production.
