Pull-out baskets come in different set sizes and finish options, although the program won't allow the user to add a basket into any component that is a width other than those available. Ensure the component is a standard width - Either 18, 24 or 30 inches. Custom depth are ok, but baskets may be shallower than the component.
Select Basket from the Pull-Outs drop down and move into the component. Scroll the mouse wheel to select between the different basket options. Left click to place the basket.
Like drawers, users can continue to add multiple baskets until right clicking to turn the tool off. When a basket is inserted, it automatically inserts fixed shelves where required. This location will depend on the height and quantity of baskets added and may shift as users add/change them.
If placing into a width that is not supported, the user will get a warning. Adjust the component width to a standard size to accommodate.
After the basket has been placed, use the + and - icons to change the size/height. Any baskets above will automatically move up or down to accommodate. If deleting a basket in the middle or bottom of a stack, the drawers above will remain where originally placed. Move as needed.
Baskets move and delete like other parts.
In 3D view, hover over the basket and look for the small hand to appear. Click and hold, and move the curser back and forth to open the baskets.
BASKET PROPERTIES
Use the basket Properties [Part] menu to make adjustments to the baskets in the design. Any fields that have a check box to the left can be applied to others using the Apply properties to.. options at the bottom of the menu.
The Depth field allows the user to change the basket to a shallower depth, if available. This may be because to system backing.
Use the Shelf Above/Below to adjust the location of the fixed shelves for each basket. “Auto” means it is following the rules written into the program - “Off” will remove the shelf, “On” will force the shelf to show. This is helpful if you’d prefer a different orientation than what the program automatically offers. Always consult with a Plan Reviewer if shifting shelves, as some may be needed for stability.
The Finish can be selected or changed in the drop down menu, as well as any basket liners or inserts that may be available.
Offsets are used if placing baskets behind doors.
