Change Component Heights & Par Lengths

CHANGE FOR INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS

Empty components (not component templates) automatically come in at the height of the design zone, as selected in the Setup Wizard. However, there are two ways to change the height of components once they are placed.

1

Hover near the middle of the component’s top shelf until a two-sided arrow appears. Left click, hold and move the cursor down to change the top shelf height. Release when the component is at the desired height, noting the dimension shown in the spot height (right).

This method will not allow you to drag the top shelf higher than the set design zone height.

2

Right click and selecting Properties [Comp], and typing a new height in the appropriate field.

  • If it is a floor-mounted component, change the Height field, which refers to the length of the partition.

  • If it is wall-mounted, change the Top Height field, which is what determines the height of the system. Unlike floor-mounted, users can change the par length (height field) independently of the top shelf height.

If you have a multi-shelf group or doors, the shelves will automatically adjust with the height change because they have an auto-height feature. If you have individually added shelves, it may require you to readjust them after changing height.

CHANGE ENTIRE DESIGN ZONE HEIGHTS

Users can change the height of all components within a design zone in two ways.

1

Double click on the vertical dimension line to the immediate left of the design zone and type in a new height. Press Enter on the keyboard to set.

When using this method to change design zone or top shelf heights, it automatically rounds to the closest number that fits the 32mm hole spacing.

2

Right click on the design zone, either from the Elevation View or Plan View, and select Properties [Design Zone]. From there, change the Main Height field to adjust all the components within that design zone.

If wanting to change all design zones, use the Apply Properties To.. to apply that height to the entire room. If components have been individually lowered/raised away from the overall design zone height, this method won’t adjust them even if the change is applied to the room. The program assumes the user has changed these for a reason and “locks” them.

The easiest way to fit to the design zone height is by right clicking on a component and selecting AutoFit Height.
