Backup Files

Back up files are automatically created by ClosetCADPro when working on a project file. While they don't have to be physically accessed by the user, progress is saved in case of an unexpected shut down.

When CAD crashes, a reporting window will pop up. Please input any information that is important to diagnosing the issue that caused the crash, and click OK to send the report.

If the program freezes up and closes out, all the user must do to restore the backup is open the original project file – The one with the red 3D icon.

Upon opening the file, users get prompted with, “A backup file has been detected. Would you like to restore it?”. Click Yes and it will pick back up exactly where it was when ClosetCADPro crashed, and users can continue to work.

If you click No, any backup information will be permanently lost and the project will revert back to the last saved version.
