Project/Customer Details
When starting a new project, the Project Details pop up will prompt the user to enter important customer and job information. All information must be entered as accurately as possible. The user also has an option to import the information directly from Dashboard.
The top two sections of the Project Details are the Customer Details (left side) and Shipping Details (right side). The difference between the two is who is paying for the job (customer) versus where is it being installed (shipping).
If the details are the same, click the box next to Same As Customer Details to copy the information over from Customer Details.
The Job Details at the bottom holds information such as the job name, job number, designer and engineer information, and important dates. The Job Number must coordinate with the Dashboard job number for the project.
Many times the information is the same, but if the job is being paid for by a builder, for example, the builder would be the customer and their client’s address would be listed under the shipping details.
At the bottom is where users can select the project folder file location. This will be remembered for the next project, unless manually changed again. The default save location can also be updated in the Main Menu.
The location typically defaults to a “ClosetCADPro > Projects” folder within the computer’s Documents folder. Consult with a manager to see if there is a location-specific file management protocol.
To manage the file folder location, select the magnifying glass icon next to Projects Folder to search for/select a new file location. This location will be saved for future new projects, unless manually changed using the same method.
The project file name will default save as ‘LAST NAME_FIRST NAME’. If a custom project name is preferred, enter it in the Project field.
Once complete, click OK to exit the Project Details and proceed to the Setup Wizard page to begin drawing the space. If the user clicks “cancel”, the box will close and they will have to use the Main Menu to navigate further.
The project details can be edited later by clicking the Customer button Icon in the Job Manager.
