EXERCISE 3-4 Import a Design

This exercise is intended for attendees of the live session as it provides a project to safely “play” on during the facilitator-led training. For those not attending live training, this exercise can still be performed for general practice.

Create a brand new project in ClosetCADPro. For the project/customer details, users can simply use the name of their best friend, pet, favorite actor, etc. to create a mock customer.

  1. Open ClosetCADPro and let the updates run.

  2. From the update window, or the main menu, select New to create a project.

  3. Thinking of a mock customer, enter the project and customer details.

  4. Right click on the design tab to edit the space properties, and rename it to “Demo”.

  5. The setup wizard will appear, but instead of filling in the information, go to the Main Menu and select Import Design. Navigate to the Practice folder and click to select the CAD file (the .ccz if using Single File Format, or select the design .ccd if using traditional file formats). If using single file format, select the Ex 3-3 space from the pop up.

  6. Save the project.

This project is ready to be opened again at the beginning of CAD Training Day 1 and will provide a space to start designing and practicing on!
