Opening ClosetCADPro and ensuring that the program has the most recent updates is an important part of the user's daily practice.

To launch the application, double click on the ClosetCADPro shortcut on the desktop, or select ClosetCADPro from the windows Start Menu or Program Files.


If connected to the internet, the program will automatically check for updates of the software as it is continually developed and improved. If the Show Details box is checked, it will provide a detailed list of the updates performed.

When the download is complete, the status will read “Update Finished”.

The announcement screen features announcements from the CAD team, such as tips & tricks, update or program changes, resources and other key information relating to CAD.


Arrows on either side of the image allow the user to scroll through various announcements.

After the first time opening with this new feature, the Announcement Screen will auto-hide. Users can open to see it again by clicking on the up arrow (as seen here).

Every time the program opens it gives the option to start designing (New or Open) or Close:

  • Choose New to start using ClosetCADPro at once, and it will prompt the Project Details dialogue box for a new project.

  • Choose Open to open a previously saved project file. The “Projects” folder will open and allow the user to select a project to open.

  • If you select Close, if will close the update dialogue and users can either open an existing project or start a new project from the main 3D menu in the upper left corner.
