Order of Drawing

The order of drawing in ClosetCADPro is important to maintain consistency, and to ensure the drawing is done accurately and key steps are not missed. Using this process to lay out the initial design will put the focus on the entire space rather than each wall individually. It also speeds up the overall design process.

Referring to the plan and 3D views while creating the design will also help understanding accessibility of the sections that are being created.

1

Edit or draw the walls. Always work clockwise.

2

Place ALL obstructions, including any doors, windows, outlets, switches, floor or ceiling vents, access
points, etc. If obstructions are measured/added incorrectly, or left out altogether, it can cause issues
with installation.

3

Place design zones where needed. Consider the dominant or focal wall first. Edit the desired depth & top shelf height, if needed.

4

Add components, either empty ones or templates. Adjust the position or location of the component (during placement or moving) in the design zone as needed. Can copy or use the array tool to copy the empty component across if preferred.

5

*Users can add filler and/or backing at this point if the design requires it, such as with floor-based units or if adding LED lighting.

6

Edit the height, width and depths of components if desired. Edit the components on the focal wall
first. Component dimensions can be edited throughout the design process as needed, but are easier to set at the beginning.

7

Add parts, which may include shelving, hanging, drawers, baskets, doors, etc. (if not already in the
component)

8

Edit parts. This may include changes to the style, type, finish, etc.

9

Add countertops, top & bottom treatments, filler, backing, etc as desired. (if not already in the component). If filler has already been added, check to ensure that they are the appropriate size and are where they are needed.

10

Accessorize with pull-outs, hooks, valet pins, jewelry inserts, locks, etc. (if not already in the component)
