Lighting Tab

The lighting tab is new, and may change as features are added/removed/adjusted. The CAD manual will be updated as promptly as possible.

When in the Lighting tab, a user can add, edit and manipulate LED Lighting in a design.

In the Setup section of the ribbon toolbar, users can select the Style of the lighting (mesh or non-mesh) that is to be added to the design. This is also where global light Temperature and Intensity can be selected.

Like the global Materials tab, users can also change the style after lighting has been added by selecting a new choice from the drop downs. The change will apply to any light part that is available in that selection.

The physical light parts can be added to the design from the Lights section of the ribbon toolbar. Select one of the options and place over a part (pole, shelf, drawer, etc.) to add a light.

In the Switches section of the ribbon toolbar, users can add a switch part to control the lighting that has been placed in the design. The type of switch to select will differ based on the style of lighting, the application, and how a client would like to control the lights.

Remotes can be added from the Remotes section of the ribbon toolbar. Unlike Lights or Switches which are physical parts in the program, when remotes are added, a text note is added to the lower right of the ELV view.
