Installer CAD Tech Tips
This page will provide steps of CAD basics that can be used with 2-in-1 computers, or as a quick reference for any CAD user.

CAD Views: Plan and Elevations
1. Hover mouse over a Design Zone in Plan View until arrow appears, then left click to view that wall in Elevation.
2. If there are more than one wall of components, click on the arrow on far left or right of the wall to navigate to the next Design Zone Elevation, even if they aren’t right next to each other.
3. Alternatively, clicking on the tabs for Plan or ELV will toggle between views.

CAD Views: 3D & WebGL
3D View
1. Click on the 3D tab to begin navigating in 3D mode.
2. Use the tools on the left to change your view.
Click on the Circular Arrow icon. Then with a mouse, left click and hold while slowly moving mouse left or right to pivot the viewpoint.
Click on the inverted T icon to reset to level as needed.
To recenter the design, click on the Square icon.
Scroll mouse wheel in or out to zoom. Where the mouse is hovering is the area that will zoom in.
Left click on doors to open. Left click again on the part to close. To open or close a drawer, left click, hold and slide mouse left or right to open or close.

WebGL View
1. Click on the WebGL tab to begin navigating in 3D mode.
2. Use the tools on the left to relevel and zoom to full view.
Left click and hold the mouse button while slowly moving mouse left or right to pivot the viewpoint.
Click on the inverted T icon to reset to level as needed.
To recenter the design, click on the Square icon.
Scroll mouse wheel in or out to zoom. Where your mouse is hovering is the area that will zoom in.
Left click on doors or drawers to open them.
WebGL E-Mail Link
If using an e-mail link to access the WebGL view (compatible on all devices), the 3D viewer works much the same as it does in the program.
Select “Click here to view 3d images in browser” of the space you want to view. A new window will open with the same controls as mentioned above.

CAD Views: Parts List
Click on the Parts List tab to view the scope of parts. This view provides part descriptions, quantities, sizing and more.
Use the right scroll bar to navigate vertically through the list. Use the bottom scroll bar to navigate horizontally across the list, if needed. Use Ctrl+F to search for items in the Parts List.

Opening a CAD File from CCDashboard
1. Access local CCDashboard and click on the Search tab in the upper navigation tool bar. Search by entering the Job Number, then left click on ‘Go’.
2. Left click on the correct job to open the customer file. Left click on the ‘Documents’ tab. Locate the “Final” CAD file (.ccz), then left click on it to download.
3. Click on the downloaded file to open the CAD file. Click on “Continue” to open the project file.
