Instructions & Considerations

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

Acrylic Dividers

If the accessory is a tray: Place the tray in its indicated location, as noted on the elevation.

If the accessory is being placed in a drawer:

  1. If Provided: Place the bottom pad in place.

  2. Place the horizontal and vertical dividers in their indicated orientation.

    1. If the dividers are only front-to-back, adhere the divider slides to the front and back from the drawer box. Slide the dividers into the slots.

Blotter

  1. Place in position according to the text note on the elevation.

  2. Ensure it is correct side up (texture/design side facing up).

  3. Explain to the customer they can clean the blotter with a slightly damp cloth, or a standard shoe polish for surface scratches/marks.

Deluxe Sit-To-Stand 

Refer to the instructions provided by Richelieu

Considerations:

  • Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  • The table base should be centered on the countertop.

  • Leave a minimum 0.5” overhang from the side edge to the leg frame.

  • Refer to pages 6 and 7 in the Richelieu manual (linked above) for programming instructions.

  • Programming notes should be included from the designer. If they are not:

    • Program 1: 30”

    • Program 2: 36”

    • Program 3: 42”

    • Program 4: 48”

  • Leave programming instructions with the customer for future modifications.

Be aware of when a team lift is necessary based on the countertop size and weight.

Double Monitor Arm

Clamp-Mount: Refer to the instructions provided by Richelieu

In-Surface Instructions to be sent from Richelieu

Considerations:

  • Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  • If there is a modesty panel, the clamp-mount arm cannot be installed. Contact the design consultant if you encounter this situation.

  • Demonstrate the adjustability to the customer.

  • California Closets does not install monitors to monitor arms.

File Drawer

  1. Install the drawer according to standard process.

  2. Demonstrate the file drawer system and its adjustability to the customer and, if applicable, encourage them to place a file folder inside.

Single Monitor Arm

Clamp-Mount: Refer to the instructions provided by Richelieu

Considerations:

  • Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  • If there is a modesty panel, the clamp-mount arm cannot be installed. Contact the design consultant if you encounter this situation.

  • Demonstrate the adjustability to the customer.

Sit-To-Stand Workstation

Refer to the instructions provided by Richelieu

  1. Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  2. If Applicable: Assemble pieces out of the box.

  3. Place on the desk in the location indicated on the elevation.

  4. Place the cable wrap on the desk for the customer to use.

  5. Demonstrate how to use the cable wrap to the customer.

  6. Demonstrate lifting and lowering the workstation.

  7. Leave instructions behind for the customer’s use.

Standard Sit-To-Stand      

Refer to the instructions provided by Richelieu

Considerations:

  • Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  • The table base should be centered on the countertop.

  • Leave a minimum 0.5” overhang from the side edge to the leg frame.

Be aware of when a team lift is necessary based on the countertop size and weight.

Table Legs

  1. Using the provided instructions, confirm you have all parts and pieces

  2. Place the countertop top side down on the floor. Use a drop cloth to protect the countertop.

  3. Place legs in position on bottom of countertop

  4. Mount using 3/4” screw and, if applicable, 1/4” washer

    1. Round/Square Table Legs: Secure through all holes

    2. X-Shaped Table Legs: Secure through at least 4 holes

    3. U-Shaped Table Legs: Secure through all holes

Be aware of when a team lift is necessary based on the countertop size and weight.

Final Steps & Delivery

  1. Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.

  2. If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

  3. If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.

  4. If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and delivering the final product.

Certification Steps:

Acrylic Dividers

  1. Pieces are inspected for cracks or damage.

  2. All pieces have been used and inserted into each other correctly.

  3. Accessory fits in drawer space.

  4. If Applicable: Velvet liner inserted at the bottom of the drawer.

Deluxe Sit-to-Stand

  1. Desk works by moving up or down when pushing the buttons

  2. The countertop has been centered on the legs to create equal balance.

  3. Cords have been tucked away according to cable management practices.

Double Monitor Mount

  1. Clamp: The clamp has been tightened.

  2. In-Surface Mount: The hardware has been installed and is secured.

  3. The mount functions and has space to move around.

  4. The Allen key has been left for the customer.

  5. The mount has been demonstrated to the customer.

Keyboard Tray

  1. The tray pulls in and out as designed.

  2. All securement points have been used.

  3. The customer has been educated on how to use the accessory.

Mini Pencil Drawer

  1. The pencil drawer pulls in and out as designed.

  2. All securement points have been used.

  3. The customer has been educated on how to use the accessory

Single Monitor Mount

  1. Clamp: The clamp has been tightened.

  2. In-Surface Mount: The hardware has been installed and is secured.

  3. The mount functions and has space to move around.

  4. The Allen key has been left for the customer.

  5. The mount has been demonstrated to the customer.

Sit-to-Stand Workstation

  1. The unit is sitting firmly and level on the desk space.

  1. The up and down movement is functional and smooth.

  1. Any moving trays or work surfaces function properly and smooth.

  2. The workstation has been demonstrated to the customer.

Standard Sit-to-Stand

  1. The desk works by moving up or down when pushing the buttons.

  1. The countertop has been centered on the legs to create equal balance.

  1. Cords have been tucked away according to cable management practices.
