Set Up ClosetCADPro

The following steps will walk users through downloading and installing ClosetCADPro on their computers, as well as some additional steps to ensure the program will run smoothly.
Work with your manager if you need assistance. If management is not able to help, please email support@3dcadsoft.com for assistance with installation.
ClosetCADPro has been designed to run on a PC running Windows 10 or higher. ClosetCADPro will not work natively on a Mac. If Windows is installed on the Mac, you may be able to install and execute ClosetCADPro but will not be technically supported by the developers.
1. Download & Install CAD
1 | Enter https://www.closetcad.com/download/CalClosets/ClosetCADProSetup.exe into an internet browser to begin the download automatically. |

2 | When it has downloaded, double click on the .exe file to launch the setup program.  This usually appears at the bottom of the web browser, but may also be located in your downloads folder or where downloads typically save. |
3 | A window will pop up. Enter the password (calclosets) into the appropriate field.  The password is the same for everyone. Do NOT share with anyone outside of the organization. |
4 | Continue through the setup process. It is recommended to create a desktop shortcut (checked “on” by default). |
5 | Allow program to finish installing. If the “Launch ClosetCADPro” box is checked, the program will automatically open once finished. It may take a few minutes for CAD to run all the updates. There may be a user license agreement that pops up if installing on a new computer. The user can scroll to the bottom and accept before continuing on. |
2. Set Up CAD Key
Before using ClosetCADPro, users must get digital license key from the local CAD administrator or sales management.
1 | If you have a digital CAD key, it will prompt you to enter the unique user number. |
2 | Upon opening CAD, the program will install updates. The first time may take several minutes, and may appear frozen at times. |
3. Set to Run as Administrator
After closing the program, check to make sure it is set to run as Administrator (click to go to Help Desk article). This will ensure the program runs successfully as it is given the proper permissions.

4. Pin ClosetCADPro to Windows Taskbar
This will make it quick and easy to access the program. (click to go to Help Desk article)
