Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must beworn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

  1. Ensure you have checked for the high point in the space.

  2. Hang system rail according to floor-based process steps.

  • Determine the height based on the elevation and take into account the partition height, the high point in the room, the location of the garage door and track, and the indicated height of the bottom and legs as noted on the elevation.

  1. Prepare and hang partitions.

  2. Install top, middle and bottom fixed shelves.

  3. Level system from the high spot in the room. Slide your level across the top of the system and adjust the partition suspense brackets accordingly.

  • Lower the partition to the ground at the high spot and levelthe remainder of the system.

  1. Plumb the system from left to right using a 4-foot level to ensure it is square.

  2. Secure corner brackets to the wall.

  • If you have chosen to attach the corner brackets to the bottom cap, this step should follow Step 11.

  • Drywall: Use a stud finder and skim across the wall where the corner brackets sit to see if there are studs.

    • If there is a stud: Use a 2.5” screw and secure the bracket to the wall.

    • If there is no stud: Mark the location, pre-drill a hole through the corner bracket using a 3/16” bit, and install a metal EZ anchor through the corner bracket into the hole.

  • Concrete: Secure using tapcon screws.

  • Plaster: Drill a 3/8” pilot hole and attach using a metal EZ anchor.

  1. Close the corner bracket caps.

  • When everything is secure, close all caps and press firmly to ensure they are closed.

  • If the corner bracket does not close, create a slight bend in the cap using your finger.

  1. Prepare the bottom cap.

  • Measure from one side of the system to the center of the partition and transfer that mark to the bottom cap.

  • Repeat for every partition.

A bottom cap and garage legs are required for all floor-based garage systems.

  1. Place the garage legs in the front and back of the bottom cap at each of the marks made. Ensure they are placed 2 - 3 inches from the edge of the board.

  • Ensure you have the correct sized garage legs in relation to the high point in the room. Legs may need to be cut down to fit depending on the slope of the garage.

  • On the ends of the bottom cap, place the garage legs as close to the end of the board as possible.

  • If there are multiple pieces to the bottom cap, place the leg so it supports the seam of both pieces.

  • If the system is 14”-20” in depth, place 1 leg toward the front of the bottom cap.

  • If the system is over 20” in depth, place 1 leg in the front and 1 leg in the back aligned with each partition.

  1. Flip the bottom cap over and slide it under the system.

  2. Secure the bottom cap to the system.

  • Using an 18-gauge nail gun, place 1 1/4” nails from the bottom shelf into the bottom cap to secure it into place.

  • Place 1 1/4” screws from the bottom fixed shelf into the bottom cap. Screws should be placed at each partition.

  1. If Applicable: Secure corner brackets.

  2. Adjust and level the legs until they support each component according to how it was leveled and plumbed.

  3. Complete the remainder of the installation.

  2. If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

  3. If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.

  4. If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and deliveringthe final product.
