Select Materials & Finishes

There are various ways to select or change finishes for parts and components in a design. Depending on the method, it may affect one part or multiples.

1. MATERIALS TAB:

Using the Materials tab is the quickest way to change finishes for multiple parts. This opens in any view. Locate the Main Materials section of the ribbon toolbar, left click on the drop-down tab and select a material. This applies to all partitions, shelves, fronts, moldings, etc. if available in that finish.

Users can also change specific parts using the other buttons in the ribbon toolbar. Each part will have its own set of options that depend on specific finishes and availability from the manufacturers.

This can be done in any view, or with the Job Manager open. Be aware that the program may run a little slower if making changes in 3D or WebGL.

2. JOB MANAGER:

Open the Job Manager and use the Material dropdown to change the finish. This applies to all partitions, shelves and parts that are available in the selected finish. This also works in any view.

3. PROPERTIES BOX:

In either part, component or design zone properties there are Finish fields (may also be called face finish, accessory finish, etc.) or a heading for Finish Settings. This works in Elevation or Plan view.

This will change the individual item unless applied to others.
