Pre-Session - CAD Training
The following information is part of the instructor-led ClosetCADPro virtual training sessions. Learners can also use these as part of a self-guided learning plan in combination with the recorded videos or while working with their managers.
Hello ClosetCADPro training learners! We are looking forward to working with you and helping you to learn this fantastic sales tool. So that we can make the most of the time we have together, please read the following and complete all required steps prior to Day 1 of live CAD training.
Required Pre-Work
Attendees who do not have the required items and a working version of ClosetCADPro will NOT be able to participate in the sessions.
STEP 1 - Download & Install ClosetCADPro
This may take ~1 hour to complete.
Install the ClosetCADPro program and complete the suggested set-up steps found here:

If you have any questions, concerns or issues doing any of these steps, there is an OPTIONAL ClosetCADPro Set-Up Office Hours held the Monday (9am PST/12pm EST) before the first day of live CAD training. This session is entirely devoted to assisting our learners on getting the program up and running! If you did not receive a Zoom invite, please e-mail Katie Black (kblack@calclosets.com).
STEP 2 - Getting to Know the Manual & ClosetCADPro
This may take 3-4 hours to complete.
The following steps will get you familiar with the program and ready to begin with the content on Day 1 of live training. Click on the links to access articles:
Materials for Training
To attend the live session, please ensure that you have:
If using an iPad or similar to run two screens (if you do not have duel monitors), have Teams installed on there too. This will also require a way to access the Teams link from the second device.
Learner Setup
To get the most from the corporate-led CAD training, it is strongly advised to have a manager or veteran designer available to answer questions and physically assist during the live session. Therefore, taking the training from a showroom or office is recommended.
Managers are responsible for managing any details or technical problems that can’t be addressed by the facilitator.
If attendee(s) must join remotely, ensure that you are fully set up, comfortable with the technology, and have a way to contact managers if necessary.
