User Requests

What is the User Request feature?

The User Request object is a tool that Managers and Customer Liaisons can use to submit various user requests to the Salesforce team. Rather than relying on email, the User Request tool allows for user request submissions from within Salesforce, and provides improved status tracking and communication features. Using list views, you can see all of your Open and Closed requests as well as their current status. 
 

What types of requests can I submit?

There are 3 different types of User Requests that you can submit. 

  1. New User Request

  2. User Deactivation Request

  3. User Modification Request

How do I get to the User Request tool?

  • To navigate to the User Request object, navigate to the User Requests tab from your drop-down menu:

    • From here you can view your Open or Closed User Requests by selecting the appropriate List View:.

  • If you would like to create a new request

Find User Requests, in your drop down menu and click on the New button in the top-right corner of the page:

 

 

 

  • You may now select your

Record Type from the options provided:

Creating User Requests

New User Request

  1. Select New User and click on Next.

  2. Complete the form shown with all of the required information. The form will not allow you to submit without providing the minimum information needed to create a new user. Click Save when you are finished. 

 

 

  1. Your New User request will be submitted to the Salesforce Support team for completion. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 business days. An @Help case will be opened and you can track the status.

 

User Deactivation Request

  1. Select User Deactivation and click on Next.

  2. Complete the form shown with all of the required information. The form will not allow you to submit without providing the minimum information needed to deactivate a user. Click Save when you are finished. 

  1. Your User Deactivation request will be submitted to the Salesforce Support team for completion. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 business days. An @Help case will be opened and you can track the status.

 

User Modification Request

  1. Select User Modification and click on Next.

  2. Complete the form shown with all of the required information. The form will not allow you to submit without providing the minimum information needed to modify a user. Be sure to include a description of the change needed. Click Save when you are finished.

  1. Your User Modification request will be submitted to the Salesforce Support team for completion. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 business days. An @Help case will be opened and you can track the status.
