Installation Steps

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

  1. Locate and inspect materials.

  • Ensure you have a hamper door, 2 hinges and 2 plates, 1 set of hamper arms.

    • Hamper arm set contains 2 hamper arms, 2 par brackets, and 2 door brackets.

  1. Attach the 2 hinge plates to the bottom shelf, and the 2 hinges to the door.

  1. Attach the door through the pre-drilled holes using provided screws.

  2. Install Lid Stay hardware.

  • Mount the partition mounting piece to the pre-drill holes of the partition using the included screws. This is the flat piece.

  • Mount the door face mounting piece to the pre-drilled holes on the door using the included screws. This is the piece with the 90-degree angle.

  • Once the door is mounted on the hinges, attach the lid stay arm to the lid stay hardware.

  • When the lid stay arms is closed, the large circle should be pointed to the back of the component.

  • Each side of the arm has an embossed arrow on the end; this arrow should align with the 90-degree angle of the plastic piece on the hardware.

    • The lid stay arm will snap into place once the arrow is aligned.

  1. Snap the hamper arms into the bracket on the partition.

  • Flip one arm around so one is pushing in and one is pushing out.

  1. Snap the door hinges into place by sliding the door in a downward motion.

  2. Connect the hamper arms to the door.

  3. Test the functionality by opening and closing the door several times.

  4. Adjust the hinges to align the door with above and adjacent doors and drawers. Ensure there are equal gaps when the door is closed.

  5. Install the hamper bag or basket.
