This page explains the steps to take for installing specialty shelving including box-in-box, concealed pullout shelves, cubbies/wine x, pullout shelves, slanted shoe shelves, and vertical dividers. Prior to beginning the installation, ensure you have completed all steps of installing the system skeleton.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.
Ensure all fixed shelves are installed.
Locate and inspect all pieces.
Assemble the top, bottom and side pieces by placing the wooden dowels into the pre-drilled holes.
Slide the interior box between fixed shelves and ensure it is flush or recessed according to the elevation.
Place 2 nails in the top and bottom pieces to secure the box in place.
Touch up nail holes with crayon.
Secure the drawer runners to the shelf underneath the pull-out shelf using euro screws.
Position the rear hook at the back bottom center of the pull-out shelf. Secure using the provided screws.
Position the stopping magnet at the front of the shelf below, in line with the front of the runners. Secure using the provided screws.
Slide the clips on the shelf onto the runners to lock into place.
Test the functionality of the shelf by sliding it in and out several times.
Ensure all fixed shelves surrounding the Wine X shelving are in place.
Locate and inspect pieces.
Slide both pieces together.
Ensure the banding on both pieces is flush.
Slide the unit between the two fixed shelves in the component.
Separate and dry-fit runners.
Mount the shelf piece to the shelf and the partition piece to the pre-drilled holes on the partition.
If the shelf is being installed behind a door, attach the offset cleats provided.
Slide the runners together to lock them in place.
Test the functionality of the shelf by sliding it in and out several times.
Locate and inspect all pieces for damage.
Install the shoe fence on the shelf piece.
Ensure partitions are prepped with Rafix shelf pins in the correct locations according to the system elevation.
Check the cams and ensure they are positioned in the shelf correctly and in the open position.
Set the shelf on the Rafix pins and ensure the cams are sitting on each screw.
Tighten each cam clockwise until they stop turning using a Pozi #2 bit screwdriver.
Check the shelf for tightness.
Repeat for all remaining shelves, as indicated by an X on the elevation.
Locate and inspect all parts.
Place and glue dowels in both ends of the vertical upright.
If Applicable: Trim the length of the dowel(s) to ensure a tight fit between the pieces.
Cut using a pair of diagonal cutting pliers, or a multitool if the dowel is already in the divider.
Secure the bottom fixed shelf between the partitions, ensuring the pre-drilled holes are facing upwards.
Place the vertical upright dowels into the pre-drilled holes on the bottom fixed shelf.
Install the top fixed shelf.

Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.
