Space Properties

Space Properties contain information on a design. Some of the information is populated from selections made in the Setup Wizard. This is also where users can apply certain promotions or discounts.


Space Properties can be accessed from right clicking on either the Design tab or the space in Job Manager. Users can also right click on an empty section of the Plan view. Using any method, select Edit to access.

Users will see the following fields under the General tab that can be edited:

ROOM TYPE

Change the type of space being designed, if needing to adjust from the original selection in Setup Wizard.
Selecting a type is essential to having ClosetCadPro talk to CC Dashboard correctly, as well as monitoring metrics.

SPACE NAME

Rename the space, as the name defaults to Design1, Design2, etc. This is important because it provides customers with a more personal connection to the spaces(s), and also communicates which space is which to the installer.

Names are limited to 50 characters.

Avoid punctuation here as it causes issues when translating to the Dashboard invoice tab.

COLLECTION

Will dictate which template, component and parts that are usable.
If changing the collection after designing, it will delete every component that exists in that space. It is recommended to copy the design first if wanting to preserve.

NOTES

This is optional, but users can include notes or observations from the physical space itself, or track edits made on the space in CAD.

CAD

Contains the current developer and CAD team’s version number.
This may not be as accurate as what is in the ? or about section of the program.


Company promotions can be applied in the Promos tab, or apply pricing markups and discounts in the Settings tabs.

 

 

Users can apply promotions or markups/discounts to that particular design by picking from the drop down or entering the desired option. Select Ok to apply to a single design, or Apply All to add the promo to all the designs in the project. The metrics are controlled in the backend.
