Angled Walls

Angled walls are drawn the same way as straight walls but have a few additional tools or features.

If the drawing aid Ortho (orthogonal) is turned on, the user can draw in 45o intervals (90o, 135o, 225o, etc).

If the room has a more specific angle, uncheck the box to turn Ortho off, which will allow walls to draw in any direction. Users can also press the letter O on their keyboard. This can be done with the wall tool on.

Once the end node of the wall is placed, an angle label appears in the corner of the two walls.

Turn angle labels on/off by checking or unchecking the Interior Angles box in the Display section of the Plan view ribbon toolbar.

Once a wall is placed, adjust the angle by moving the cursor over the corner until red crosshairs appear. Right click and select Properties [Node] to enter the correct angle in the appropriate field. Double clicking on the node will also provide the option to type in a new dimension (press Enter when done).

If changing angles between walls in a closed room, other angles will be affected - So always double check all dimensions!

ALIGNING DESIGN ZONES

When adding design zones on two walls that meet to form an angle, right click on both design zones and select either Align Left or Align Right appropriately, and it will adjust the design zones fronts to meet perfectly. The user can repeat these steps to realign any time there is a change of depth, or as needed.

This is best done before adding components.

This only works on interior angles. Due to design zones being square, exterior angles will always have a gap.
