Wall Beds

Wall beds are one of the few parts that are not located in the ribbon toolbar. Instead, they are added via right click menu.

On an empty section of the design zone, right click and select Add Wall Bed. Scroll the mouse wheel (or use up/down arrow keys), select from the different wall bed options: Twin, double, queen; and vertical- or horizontal-tilt options. There may also be options that include a desk and/or shelf.

Left click to place. Users can move and delete the wall bed in the same manner as any other component, and will find the same familiar options in Properties [Component].

Wall bed options come in at the correct width(s) and height(s) required (refer to your Standard Product Guide for more information) and users cannot change them. Wall beds also require either a 16” or 18” depth, depending on the mattress or options.

If wanting to change the style/size of the wall bed, users must delete it and start over again. There is no way to change it in properties as it affects the size and locations of components around it.

Click on the wall bed in 3D view to open and close it.

Users can add additional components around the wall bed to create a functional design.

If adding additional components right next to the wall bed, it likely requires double partitions. Talk to your manager or plan reviewer for more information on how your location handles wall bed design.

WALL BED PART PROPERTIES

In the wall bed Properties [Part] users will find options such as front type, style, and hardware. These options look very similar to what would be found in door properties.

Users can also select if wanting to include the branded mattress or not (checked means included). If not selling a branded mattress with the wall bed, this means the client will be supplying their own. Restrictions apply, see Standard Product Guide for details. This will be notated on the front of the wall bed in the Elevation view.
