CC Cubby

Cubbies are a modular interlocking divider system that can be customized to suit whatever the customer is storing. The sections, or openings, are created by a series of rows (horizontal) and columns (vertical) created with 3/4” or thicker TFL board material; Basically a combination of small shelves and vertical shelves.

There must be enough open space within a component to create a cubby system. Add the cubby by going up to the Parts section of the ribbon toolbar, click on the Other drop down, and select CC Cubby.

Once the part is selected, move the cursor over a component and the cubby automatically fills the available height. Fixed shelves can be placed prior to adding cubbies to control the height. Left click to place.

The shelves above and below a cubby system must be fixed. The Standard Product Guide has a calculator that can be used to help put the fixed shelves to the right height for the application or storage needs.

Note how the elevation view will show the interior dimensions of the cubbies.

Cubbies move and delete like other parts. When moving a cubby from one area to the next, it will automatically adjust the height but will still be confined by fixed shelves. Keep in mind that a height warning will appear if the space is too tall.

Since cubbies can have a wide range of uses, users must consider the weight of the cubby and the items it will hold in relation to the type of component. For example, if using cubbies for heavy items like wine bottles, it is strongly recommended to use a to-the-floor system. If it is lighter items

Once the cubby system is in place, users can adjust the width or height of the component, and the cubby openings will adjust automatically based on the changes. If warnings appear, the cubbies can be adjusted in Properties (see information below).

The internal cubby shelves are supported by adjustable pins which are meant to help support the weight of the cubby material.

These are drilled at custom heights since the shelves are spaced evenly, so the inside of the cubby area will always be Custom Fixed Drilling.

There are different configurations determined by the width of the component, the overall height of the cubby, and the use of the cubby. However, the cubby configuration will be limited based on the shelf width or space available.

The height and width of the cubby openings automatically adjust when changing the number or rows and/or columns. Rows are spaced based on overall opening height, and columns based off overall opening width (max is 36” wide).

The maximum height for a cubby system is conditional based on the width: 16” for a 36” wide system and up to 46.74” for an 18” wide system. The minimum cubby opening height and width is 4.125”.

CUBBY PROPERTIES

To adjust the cubby system, right click to go into the Properties [Part] menu. This is where users can  change the Front or Back Offset and select the Finish. The depth of the cubby system is determined by the depth of the component that contains it.

This is also where users adjust the number of rows and columns, and can view the individual cubby width and height.
