This page explains the steps to take for installing press-in backing. This page also contains the information for prepping partitions using the traser suspension bracket. This process refers to several elements of installing the system skeleton.

Title

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

  1. Hang the system rail

  2. Prepare the partitions using the Traser suspension brackets and all applicable hardware

  3. Hang the partitions on the system rail.

 

  1. Level, plumb, and secure the system using the two-way adjustments on the Traser brackets. Secure using small metal L brackets.

  2. If system contains lighting: Run any wiring or light leads behind the system.

Before installing any Press-in Backing panel, all fixed shelves must be installed, electrical wiring must be run behind the system, and the system must be leveled and secured to the wall.

  1. Position backing in place, aligning cams with the rafix pins in the back of the partitions.

  2. Firmly press the backing into place and ensure it is secured to the pins.

  • Each Press-in Backing Panel is designed to be installed between shelves, or additionally, can be designed to be placed behind shelves to reduce the number of backing panels.

  • If the panels you are installing are to be placed behind shelves, install the panel after the top and bottom fixed shelves are locked in. If the shelf has wired lighting, it is recommended to leave the shelf splitting the backing.

 

 

  1. Complete the installation with any remaining system elements and accessories.

 

To Remove Press-In Backing

  • Removing short panels: Place one suction cup at the center of the panel, centered on the height, and pull firmly to remove in a single motion.

  • Removing tall panels: Place one suction cup towards the top of the panel and one towards the bottom of the panel, centered on the

  • Do not attempt to move the panel side-to-side or force out; this may cause damage to the material.

Final Steps & Delivery

  1. Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.

  2. If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

  3. If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.

  4. If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and delivering the final product.


Certification Steps:

  1. Partitions were prepped using Traser suspension brackets.

  2. All steps were completed to install the system skeleton elements needed prior to press-in backing.

  3. If applicable: All lighting wiring was placed behind panels.

  4. Backing panels are installed in the correct location and cams are set on rafix pins.
