Mini Drawers
Mini drawers are popular additions to offices, vanities, or anywhere else smaller storage solutions are needed. They are created by placing drawers between strategically set uprights in a component.
The minimum width for mini drawers is in an 8” wide section – Typically, a 24” wide section will have two mini drawers, and a 30” wide can have two or three.
Begin by adding any parts that will sit below the mini drawers, as necessary, such as full-sized drawers.
Consider the height of the mini-drawers. Most tend to be small or medium-height assemblies. Add a single fixed shelf above the starting point with enough room to fit the drawer plus some extra. Then add an upright between the fixed shelves to create split(s) in the component.
Add drawers using the Drawer tool, scrolling to resize the assembly as needed. The custom width will appear as a label on the front of the drawer. Finally, using the – (minus) button on the fixed shelf above the mini drawers, lower the shelf until it sits right on top of the drawers.
If the space is too short for the drawer being added, you will get a “height not allowed” warning when adding.
Repeat the previous steps to add as many stacks of mini drawers as desired.
