Applied (Layered) Glass Countertop Installation

  1. Ensure the component and countertop below the glass countertop have been installed.

  2. Dry fit the glass countertop and ensure it is the same size as the TFL countertop on the component. If it is not, reach out to your manager.

  3. Place a VHB tape circle in each corner of the TFL countertop.

  • If the top is larger than 24” in either direction, place a VHB circle every 24 - 30” around the perimeter.

  1. Using glass cleaner, wipe down the bottom of the glass countertop.

  2. Peel the protective coating off each VHB circle.

  3. Place the glass countertop on top of the TFL countertop.

  • Depending on the size and weight of the countertop, a second team member may be required to assist. A team lift is required if the glass countertop is larger than 36” in width or length, or if it is heavier than 48lbs.

  • Ensure the countertop is in the desired location before setting it down on the VHB tape.

  1. Apply pressure in each tape location to ensure the glass countertop is adhered.

  2. Wipe the top of the glass countertop with glass cleaner.
