This page explains the steps to take for installing a glass countertop. The process steps below will outline the process for a standard glass (clear, illusion, backpainted) countertop on a component, and an applied (layered) glass countertop on a standard TFL countertop. Prior to beginning the installation, ensure you completed all steps of installing the system skeleton and all elements below the countertop.

VHB Tape Circles
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.
Glass Countertop Installation
Ensure the component or countertop below the glass countertop have been installed.
Dry fit the glass countertop and ensure it is the same size as the component or countertop below. If it is not, reach out to your manager.
Clean the surface below the glass so not to scratch the countertop.
Place a VHB tape circle in each corner of the TFL material below.
Using glass cleaner and a rag, wipe down the bottom of the glass countertop.
Peel the protective coating off each VHB circle.
Place the glass countertop on top of the component or TFL countertop.
Apply pressure in each tape location to ensure the glass countertop is adhered.
Wipe the top of the glass countertop with glass cleaner and a clean rag.

Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.
If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.
If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.
If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and delivering the final product.
Certification Steps:
VHB tape circles are placed in every corner and, if applicable, every 24 - 30” around the perimeter of the TFL countertop.
The glass is wiped down before and after it is placed in position.
If applicable: Assistance in lifting and placing was provided.
