Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.
Determine the height of the board based on the elevation. If this is not noted, reach out to the design consultant.
On the board, measure from top of the panel down to the center of the pre-drilled hole in the bottom z-cleat. Note this measurement on a piece of paper.
Repeat taking this measurement for the bottom z-cleat. Note this measurement on a piece of paper.
Remove tape to separate the pieces of the Z cleat and remove bottom track
Measure from floor to elevation’s indicated height of the accessory.
Referring to your noted measurements, mark both cleat measurements on the wall.
Draw a level line for both bottom cleats.
Place the bottom cleat on the wall, with the line centered on the holes.
Determine location of studs for securement points. Drill for any toggles using a 1/2” drill bit.
All holes on the cleat should be used for securement. At least 2 studs should be hit for securement.
Secure using 2 1/2” screws and toggles through all holes on the bottom cleats.
Hook the board onto the bottom cleats.
Complete the full installation of the adjacent or surrounding system.
Measure the area for the board to ensure the tack board will fit.
Place circles of liquid nails on the back of the tack board; one in each corner.
Place the tack board on the wall and hold in place.
Secure in place using 1 1/4” nails. Ensure they sit below the fabric so they are not seen.

Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.
If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and delivering the final product.
Certification Steps:
Marker Board
The marker board is secure to the wall and safely on the wall cleats.
Make sure the board is level and plumb.
If Applicable: Accessories are placed on the board and demonstrated to the customer.
Fabric Board
Fabric board is placed in the correct location and level.
Board has been glued and nailed to the wall
Nail heads are not sticking out past the board.
