2” 18-gauge Nails
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.
Lay out ladder base pieces.
Attach the front plate to the side and middle pieces using an 18-gauge nailer and 2” nails.
Line up the rear plate with the side and middle pieces and attach using an 18-gauge nailer and 2” nails.
The middle pieces are typically shorter than the side pieces. This will create a slight gap between the rear of the ladder base and the wall.
Secure the ladder base form using an 18-gauge nailer and 2” nails. There must be 2 nails at each connection point.
Set the base in place and level using shims or par feet.
Complete the system build above the ladder base.
Touch up nail holes with wax crayon.

Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.
