This section explores methods for editing a basic space and/or walls after completing the Setup Wizard.

Edit Wall Length & Type

Wall Length

There are 3 ways that to change the wall dimensions in a design. All but the last method can be used with the Setup Wizard still open.

When adjusting the lengths of the walls, the Design Zone will automatically adjust to fit.

1. Left click on the wall, hold, and drag it up/down/side to side. Note that this is a quick method, but not the most accurate method.

2. Double left click on the wall dimension (the dimension will turn blue when hovering over it) and manually change the number by typing one in. Make sure to hit Enter on the keyboard or the number will not apply. This method will prompt you to enter dimensions in a clockwise manner. Users can also click away to cancel, or double click on a different dimension to change instead.

3. Go to Wall Properties (either by single left clicking on the wall or by right click > Properties [Wall]) and manually change the number beside the Length field. This is where users can also adjust the base molding options, wall color, and create angled ceilings.

Delete Walls

Delete a wall by right clicking on the desired wall, which turns red when hovering over it, and select Delete. This will not affect the other walls in the design. This is helpful if the user needs to edit the shape of a room.

To start completely over (but maintain the room details such as ceiling height, base molding, etc.), right click anywhere on the Plan View (not on the walls or design zones) and select Delete All.

Wall Properties

Users can also edit the wall properties in the Elevation view.

Simply move the cursor towards the top of the design where the wall length dimension is (the dimension on the bottom by the wall label is the design zone length). Once it appears blue, single left click to select and pull up the property menu.

If the property menu is not docked on the right side of the screen, left click on the “Properties” button in the lower right of the screen.

Wall Type

To change the wall type after exiting the Setup Wizard, change the drop down option in the Room section of the Plan ribbon toolbar. This will apply to all walls in the design.

To change wall type for a single wall, right click on a wall and select Properties [Wall]. Select from the Type drop down. Users can also turn a label on which will make it clear that the wall type is different. This shows in both Plan and ELV views.

Edit Room Molding

To change the base molding of the wall(s) after exiting the Setup Wizard, left click on a wall or right click on a wall and select Properties [Wall] to access properties.

Under the Dimensions heading, there will be a will see options for Floor Molding. This is where users can either add, remove, or adjust molding that was set initially.

Notch Around suggests the molding remains in place and the installer will notch the back of the partitions so they fit over the molding. Rip-Out means the installer would be removing the molding. None should only be used if the room itself has zero molding.

The height is how tall the molding is, and the depth is how far it protrudes from the wall. If it has a more ornate profile, use the deepest dimension measured.

The clearance will determine how close a component can be placed above molding, and can be adjusted as necessary. Keep in mind that partition lengths can be edited independently as an alternative.

If making any changes, it will only apply to the one wall whose properties are being edited.

This will allow the user to set different molding instruction or dimensions per wall, if desired. To apply an changes to the entire room, ensure the boxes to the left are all checked, and use the Apply Properties To.. Room at the bottom of the wall properties dialogue, as shown in the GIF above.

Edit Ceiling Height

To edit the ceiling height after exiting the Setup Wizard, do so from the Plan view ribbon toolbar. Type a new number in the Ceiling Height field under the Room heading and press Enter on the keyboard to apply.

The change will not be visible in the Plan view, but the change can be confirmed in Elevation view.
