Installation Steps

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when handling material and operating the power tools mentioned throughout this process. Review the PPE Matrix for further guidance.

  1. Ensure you have all parts.

  • Pull Out Hardware & Directions

  • Drawer

  • Trash Bin

  • Door Face

  1. Review the provided hardware directions and make any markings as indicated.

  2. Mount the hardware to the bottom fixed shelf according to the provided directions.

  3. Place the drawer into the hardware.

  4. Mount the door.

  • Pay attention to all hardware needed to connect the door to the drawer.

  • There is a small amount of connection area to attach both parts together.

  1. Mount the handle or knob to the door.

  2. Insert the garbage can(s) into the cutouts in the drawer.

  3. Ensure functionality by opening and closing the door a few times to ensure there is no rubbing.

  • If there is rubbing, make the proper adjustments to the door to eliminate rubbing.

Final Steps & Delivery

  1. Inspect the installation and complete any touch ups if necessary.

  2. If there are no more components to install, remove all stickers/labels.

  3. If there are no more components to install, complete the clean up process.

  4. If there are no more components to install, complete the Professional Installation Experience by walking through the space with the customer and delivering the final product.


Certification Steps:

  1. Trash can door opens and closes without rubbing or interfering with the surrounding component.

  2. Door opens and closes with ease.

  3. Door opens far enough to allow bag or basket to come out.
